Early issues of the series also included reprints of another newspaper strip, Simp O'Dill, and short text stories starring DC's own character, Hop Harrigan from All-American Comics.Īfter DC Comics ceased publishing it, Mutt & Jeff continued at Dell Comics with the same numbering for 12 more issues. Every issue also included reprints of Mutt & Jeff's spinoff strip, Cicero's Cat (renamed "The Cat" in some issues). Humor Mutt & Jeff was an ongoing series published by DC Comics from 1939 to 1958 reprinting the popular newspaper strip of the same name, starring family man Augustus Mutt and his bachelor friend Jeff.
